Responsibility

The Material

Most bedding is made from synthetic fibres. Polyester. Microfibre. Blended fabrics that shed plastic particles into your washing water and eventually into the ocean with every wash. We don't use any of it.

Alba is 100% French flax linen. A natural fibre grown from the earth, requiring significantly less water and pesticide than cotton, and no synthetic inputs whatsoever. It is one of the oldest cultivated fibres in the world for good reason. It works.

The Longevity

The most responsible thing a textile can do is last. Linen doesn't pill, doesn't degrade, and doesn't lose its integrity with washing. It improves. A well-made set of Alba linen will outlast most other things in your bedroom by years. Buy less. Buy better.

The Certification

All Alba linen is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified. Every component, including fabric, thread, and buttons, has been independently tested and verified to be free from harmful substances. Not a marketing claim. A verified standard.

The Packaging

No plastic. Orders arrive in minimal, considered packaging that doesn't outlast the product inside it. We believe the unboxing shouldn't create more waste than necessary.

The Position

We are not a sustainability brand. We don't use that word because it has been used carelessly by too many others. What we are is deliberate. About the materials we choose, the things we refuse to use, and the products we put our name on.
